This course mainly focuses on:

Xingyi Quan is one of the three major internal martial arts in China. Xingyi Wuxing Quan is the foundation of Xingyi Quan and is known as the mother boxing of Xingyi Quan. Beginners of Xingyi Quan should start with Wuxing Quan.

The five boxing techniques of Pi Quan (Chopping Fist), Zuan Quan (Drilling Fist), Beng Quan (Thrusting Fist), Pao Quan (Cannon Fist), and Heng Quan (Horizontal Fist) may seem simple, but they are highly practical in actual combat. In real – combat fighting, Wuxing Quan is flexible and fast, with both advances and retreats, and its offense and defense are changeable. It not only emphasizes the consciousness of striking first and taking the offensive, but also focuses on consecutive advances and retreats, using defense as a means of attack and defeating the enemy in counter – attacks.

This boxing technique combines internal and external cultivation, unifying qi (vital energy) and form. Long – term practice can not only help practitioners acquire the integrated power with the upper and lower body coordinated and internal and external qi unified, but also enable them to master traditional boxing techniques with practical combat value.

 

The Course Features:  

– Wuxing Quan is the basis of various techniques of Xingyi Quan. As the root of Xingyi Quan and its mother boxing, by mastering the power of each form of the boxing and persevering in practice, practitioners can obtain the integrated power with the upper and lower body coordinated and internal and external qi unified.

– The basic techniques of Xingyi Quan will be taught in detail, including 5 types of standing postures such as the Three – Body Posture. The training methods of Ming Jin (obvious power) and An Jin (hidden power) will also be explained in detail. The whole set of boxing techniques is systematic and complete, and the teaching progresses step by step.

– Instructor: Tang Weilü, the fourth – generation direct descendant of the Tang – style Xingyi Quan and the gold medalist of the first Xingyi Quan competition in China.

– The course is presented with Chinese voice – over and English subtitles.
